PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Throughout the 12-month programme, you will delve into various inter-disciplinary subjects that encompass the diverse aspects of hospitality management. You will explore topics such as strategic management, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and entrepreneurship, all within the context of the hospitality industry.
One of the key strengths of the programme is its industry orientation. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals, participate in industry visits and internships, and engage in real-world projects that simulate the challenges and complexities of the hospitality industry. This hands-on approach ensures that you develop practical skills that are highly valued by employers and enables you to apply your knowledge in real-world settings.
With this degree, you have the option to pick Work-Based Learning (WBL) for your third year.

This component aims to develop critical thinking, build up social intelligence and cultivate civic responsibility as well as broaden cultural knowledge. These consist of compulsory and nationally-mandated study modules required by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.

Flexible Education
The Flexible Education component offers students the flexibility to explore modules in a related or unrelated field, enhancing and complementing their primary major. This component allows students to broaden their knowledge and skills by selecting modules from the same or different schools within the university.
Flexible Education can take various forms, including free electives, extensions, minors, or even a second major. These options provide students with the opportunity to delve deeper into a specific area of interest or broaden their understanding by exploring a different field of study.

Work-Based Learning
A 3-year program combining academic learning on campus with practical learning in industry settings. The first 2 years focus on teaching and assessment by academic staff, while the third year involves working with industry partners. where both the teaching and assessment are conducted by both academic staff and industry professionals. Students gain real-world work experience in their chosen industry, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.

Pass SPM / O-Level or equivalent with 5 credits for entry with Pre-University / Foundation qualification (Except for UEC).
SPM / O-Level with Diploma
