Delve into the science at the centre of healthcare.
Medical bioscience is all about the human body, healthcare and disease, and this course provides you with a solid foundation in this important and highly technical field.
You’ll study a wide range of interrelated life science topics, and have access to modern laboratories to support your learning and the development of research skills. In your final year, you can choose to pursue a research project on a medical bioscience unit of your interest.
What makes this degree truly unique is its specific development for the Malaysian context. You’ll gain an understanding of medical bioscience in a tropical environment, with a particular focus on techniques in tropical medicine.
And you won’t be peering through microscopes all the time. Fieldwork with a laboratory or community health organisation and professional training are also built into your course.
You can study a broad range of topics in:
- biology
- recombinant DNA technology
- chemistry
- biochemistry
- cellular metabolism
- immunology
- anatomy
- microbiology
- pathology
- pharmacology
- toxicology.
