Entry Requirements
Programme Entry Requirements
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Diploma Programme :

- A pass in SPM with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject, or its equivalent; OR
- A pass in UEC with minimum 3Bs; OR
- A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent; OR
- A pass in STPM with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subjects, or its equivalent; OR
- A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of maqbul
- Pass Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) / Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) (Level 3 MQF) in related field (Note: UNITAR are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme) skill certificate in Art and Design and pass SPM with minimum 1 credit; OR
- Equivalent qualification and / or experience which is recognized by Malaysian Government.
AND
- Pass an interview OR submission of student’s portfolio determined by the HEP as required.

Programme Learning Outcome
The Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO) of this programme is to prepare graduates who are able to:
1.Nurture fashion design knowledge and skills from ideas development, drawing, fabric selection, pattern drafting to garment making as well as on how to compliment fashion design with appropriate accessories.
2.Access to fundamental knowledge of raw materials, overall garment construction processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for effective presentation of artwork.
3. Unleash one’s creativity and artistic touch through working or experimenting with forms, themes, patterns, textures, layering, etc. Be inspired, be curious!
4.The chance to discover various creations and designs within local and global contexts; at the same time, the skill-sets are ever ready aligned with the industry.
