This is a comprehensive programme that exposes students to creative projects, real-life projects, and competitions. The students will be equipped with the much-needed and demanding technical skills of both print and digital Graphic Design and with the knowledge and understanding in the areas of layout composition, illustration, photography, digital imaging and image manipulation, publishing, editorial, packaging, branding and advertising.

These are to ensure that the students will develop abilities in problem solving, conceptualisation and idea development, visual expression, and visual communication in art and design.

Entry Requirements

Local

Either one of these :

  • Passed in SPM/O-Level with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject, or its equivalent OR
  • Passed UEC with a minimum of grade B in 3 subjects inclusive of Art Subject or Engineering Drawing OR

  • Passed in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject, or its equivalent OR

  • Passed in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul in any subject, or its equivalent OR

  • Passed in SKM Level 3/Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) in a suitable field (Note: The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme) OR

  • A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent OR

  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Note: Pass an interview OR submission of portfolio determined by the HEP as required
