Overview

This International Politics master’s investigates central issues of global justice. This includes:

  • the debate between relativism and universalism
  • the foundation and content of human rights
  • responses to global poverty and inequality
  • cosmopolitan democracy
  • environmental justice

Along with a greater understanding, you’ll learn to think critically about these issues.

The course is taught by influential political theorists and philosophers. We offer rigorous training in:

  • global justice and human rights
  • international relations theory
  • theories and approaches to the study of politics

This helps you to develop the specialist knowledge and research skills from which to embark upon a career with a significant international dimension. You could also pursue a postgraduate research degree in global justice and ethics studies.

A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent. Degrees from all disciplines will be considered. We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have lower or non-standard qualifications and relevant professional experience.
