This course provides training required by junior officers working onboard oil tankers that meets the requirements framework of STCW 2010 (with Manila amendments) It follows model courses IMO 2.06 “Oil Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator” and IMO 1.01 “Basic Training for Oil Tanker Cargo Operations”. It meets the DNV Maritime Simulator Systems standard including OCIMF marine terminal training and competence assessment guidelines for oil terminal and product terminals as well as MARPOL 73/78 requirements.
Entry Requirements:
- Officers in charge of navigational watch on ships of 500 gross tonnage or more.
- Have acquired a sea time of 12 months.
- Have valid Seafarer Identity Card.
