Master of Science in Accounting (By Research) is a programme designed for professional and academics seeking career advancement in accounting, finance, and other business-related areas. The programme comprises taught courses and a thesis. Students are required to produce an accounting related thesis that demonstrates students understanding on the theoretical foundations, ethical judgments, and critical and strategic thinking ability of emerging accounting issues.
Entry Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by UNITEN Senate; or
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 but above a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to UNITEN rigorous internal assessment; or
- Relevant professional accounting qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree as accepted by UNITEN Senate; or
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by UNITEN Senate; or
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field below a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the relevant field.
