OVERVIEW
The Master of Teaching and Learning programme offered by Taylor’s University is the first of its kind in Malaysia. This postgraduate course is designed to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to teacher education, focusing on three key domains of knowledge: core pedagogical knowledge, learning area studies, and reflective practice courses.
Through the core pedagogical knowledge component, you will acquire a deep understanding of the principles and theories of teaching and learning. This includes exploring topics such as educational psychology, instructional strategies, assessment and evaluation, and classroom management. By developing a strong foundation in pedagogical knowledge, you will be equipped with the essential skills to design and deliver effective and engaging lessons.

Pre-requisites
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a CGPA > 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government;
OR - A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related field not meeting CGPA of 2.50, recognised by the Malaysian or National Government, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in related field; OR
- Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.
- Application via APEL A is allowed.
For international students
- IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 60 (Internet Based Test) (May join IEN preparatory course and achieve the IELTS score) The validity of the IELTS or equivalent is within 2 years from the date of the examination.
