Aerospace (Aeronautical) Engineering
In the realm of engineering, the term “aeronautical engineering” was initially used, but with the advancement of flight technology to include spacecraft operating in outer space, the broader term “aerospace” has taken precedence in usage. Colloquially, engineering with a focus on astronautics is often referred to as “rocket science.” This field of engineering also delves into the study of aerodynamic characteristics, behaviours, airfoil design, control surfaces, lift, drag, and other pertinent properties associated with these vehicles.
Applied Science
Applied science involves the precise application of knowledge derived from one or more natural scientific fields to address real-world problems. It plays a crucial role in the development of technology and advances in research. Pursuing a study in applied science will equip you with the necessary skills for direct entry into exciting and fulfilling science careers. Additionally, it provides a strong foundation for professional schools such as chiropractic, dental, medical, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary, as well as graduate schools.
Chemical / Petroleum Engineering
In the field of petroleum engineering, you will focus on the search, production, and extraction of crude oil and natural gas from the Earth. Mechanical Engineering

Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is a science that focuses on the design elements that enable computers to “think.” A complex division of computer science, artificial intelligence projects endeavour to render machines capable of multitasking and relying on human-like senses.
Computer Graphics
A computer graphics degree gives students the knowledge they need to create computer images for various visual mediums. It also provides you with the opportunity to gain the knowledge needed to work with state-of-the-art technology to create computerized graphic images.
Computer Gaming
A degree in computer gaming focuses on the construction and design of interactive computer games. It focuses on the technical, narrative and artistic underpinning of designing these games.
Computer Network
Computer networks teach the networking skills required to design, install, configure and maintain enterprise-wide networks. Additionally, a combination of management and general education courses will teach you to hone and apply skills in general management, critical thinking, logic, communications and problem solving in order to successfully manage the challenges faced in today’s technical environment.
Software Development
Software development includes research, development modification, re-engineering, or other activities that result in software products. These products are absolutely vital in a variety of fields including marketing, engineering, research and development and general management.
Liberal Arts Major

Within the context of a liberal arts degree, you can study modern languages, music, English, anthropology, history, gender studies, or many other disciplines. Anthropology / Archeology
This discipline revolves around the study of humans and their cultural and physical environments. As an anthropology student, you will develop the skills to analyze human cultures from diverse perspectives. You may also explore the fascinating worlds of prehistoric humans and primates, deepening your understanding of our shared history.
In addition to anthropology, you will have the opportunity to delve into the field of archaeology. Archaeology focuses on studying past human societies and their ways of life. By analyzing fossils, mummies, and other artifacts, students gain insights into how people lived in ancient times. Note: The requirement to pass Mathematics and Science at SPM level for STPM can be waived should the grades obtained in Mathematics and English subjects and the achievement are equivalent/higher from the pass requirement at SPM level.
