Programme Description

This programme is designed to provide high-quality undergraduate education to the students with the objective of preparing them for related careers and providing graduate training in the area of IT. This programme will cover fundamental IT areas while implementing new technology. The graduates will be able to apply sound judgement to the production, communal, ethical and professional issues of the rapidly developing computing industry. Students will learn in depth about computer application processes and IR 4.0 subjects that can be taken as elective.

Entry Requirements

i) A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR

ii) A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR

iii) A Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR

iv) Any other Diploma in Science and technology or business studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 may be admitted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment process and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

v) Pass DKM/DLKM/DVM (HEP is required to implement a screening and bridging program which correspond to the program field).

Note: Candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.

Requirement for credit in Mathematics at SPM levelofthe candidate (i), (ii), (iii) or (iv) may be exempted if the qualification contains Mathematics subject and its achievement as the equivalent/higher than the subject credit requirement at SPM level. Candidate with a credit in computing related subject at SPM or STPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration.

For International Students

Evidence of good English competency orally and written. For example IELTS 6.0/equivalent. Senate minimum requirements: A minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS OR / Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with Band 3.5 OR its equivalent.
