ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Quantity Surveying is a program which emphasize on subject related to measurement of Quantity for material and trades involved in Construction Industry as well as building a cost related to construction project in which student will indulge in a subjects that were design to build one self into becoming a professional Quantity Surveyor.
Who should study Quantity Surveying?
A person with an interest on mathematics who loves counting things out of their head  or someone with financial and even contract knowledge are highly encourage to join our program. Someone who wanted a little bit of variety in terms of financial niche aside from being an accountant in normal industry are also recommended to join our program since Quantity Surveyor is a profession that is also recognize internationally as “Building Construction Accountant” or “Building Cost Engineer”
What will I learn?
Student will be exposed to measurement of quantity, cost estimating as well as construction industry in line with the rapid evolving of the industries. The student will also be exposed to contractual knowledge to support the main niche of the program as a Quantity Surveyor.
What should I expect?
Student under the program will be engaged with a lot of situational based scenario in and out of classes as the student will be exposed with the knowledge along with the real life project through site visit and practical training in which will shape them into becoming a Professional Quantity Surveyor

This is a very subjective topic however a good Quantity Surveyor with professional titles like Consultant Quantity Surveyor (CQS) from Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia (BQSM) and Surveyor (Sr.) from Royal Institute of Surveyor Malaysia (RISM) is guaranteed an infinite work offer in the industries and also from academic prospects.
Is there any professional recognition for this programme?
Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM):
- Provisional Quantity Surveyor (PVQS) – Graduate QS
- Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) – 2 to 5 years in the industry
- Consultant Quantity Surveyor (CQS) – More than 10 years of experience in the industry
Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM):
- Surveyor (Sr.) – Can be applied through RISM once a Quantity Surveyor becomes a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) with BQSM.
How does the professional recognition for this programme benefit me?
CQS were very limited in numbers and having these professional titles will benefit you in so many ways as you have the highest authority in the industries to approve or to recommend things to your clients or employers.

Minimum Entry Requirements:
- Pass STPM or GCE ‘A’ Level with a minimum of 3 principal passes; OR
- Pass UEC with a minimum of Grade B in 5 subjects, including Mathematics; OR
- Pass a Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or an equivalent from a recognised higher institution with a minimum CGPA of 2.67; OR
- Pass a Diploma from a recognised higher institution with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
- Pass Matriculation/Foundation from a recognised higher institution with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
This programme is recognised as professional entry qualification by the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM), and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). The former a professional regulating body and the latter a professional institution representing the surveying profession, including quantity surveying division in Malaysia.
