PROGRAMME REVIEW
This programme prepares students to become scientist-practitioners of counselling, that is in additional to developing students to counsel to an international standard, the BSc (Hons.) in Counselling Psychology programme encourages students to directly engage in research literature and gain exposure to evidence-based practices. From developmental and social psychology, students will engage in advancing cognitive and neuropsychological content. At its core, our programme is focused on developing scholarly ability and occupational readiness.
Entry Requirement
- STPM or its equivalent with a minimum of 2 full passes with Grade C (Grade Point, GP) 2.00; OR
- A Diploma or its equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00; OR (All the above qualifications need to be supported with at least credits with Mathematics and Science, with a pass in English at SPM level)
- Matriculation / Foundation / A-level or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 and certified by the Senate and has a SPM (for citizens and residents in Malaysia only); OR
- Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in 5 subjects; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the HEP Senate/Authorities in Malaysia.
English Language Requirements
- For local students: candidates should have MUET (Band 3) or its equivalent
- For international students: candidates should have IELTS (Band 5.5) / TOEFL (550) paper-based or its equivalent
