Programme Description
The Diploma in Islamic Banking is aimed mainly at learners and professionals seeking for an extensive understanding of the concepts and operating principles applied to different types of Islamic banking in comparison to conventional banking. This programme is designed for students who want to gain a strong understanding of Islamic banking. You will also learn about the operations of an Islamic banking institution. The course is taught by seasoned academicians with extensive banking experience, as well as guest speakers from some of Malaysia’s leading banks and financial institutions.

Entry Requirements
i) Possesses a SPM with at least THREE credits and a pass in Mathematics or its equivalent; OR
ii) A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)/ with minimum of C Grade (GPA 2.0) in any subjects; OR
iii) A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with minimum grade of Maqbul; OR
iv) Pass DKM/DLKM/DVM (HEP is required to implement a screening and bridging program which correspond to the program field).
v) A recognised Certificate (Level 3, MQF) or equivalent in Muamalat or Islamic Finance or related fields with minimum CPGA 2.0; AND Pass Arabic at SPM level/equivalent (for admission to the Muamalat and Halal Management program)
For International Students
The PPT Senate/Academic Board needs to set appropriate competency requirements. Senate minimum requirements: A minimum score of 4.0 in IELTS OR / Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with Band 3 OR its equivalent.
