Programme Description
The Diploma in Nursing is designed to prepare students to be qualified as a Registered Nurse. This programme focuses both on the ‘care’ aspects of nursing as well as on the ‘science’ of health care in preparing the nurse to provide a safe, caring, competent and professional nursing care to each person’s unique needs across the life span continuum. Nurses are in the business of improving and saving lives, whether they are caring for patients at the bedside or fighting for patients’ rights. Our graduates are Internationally employable.

Entry
Requirements
i. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or *Equivalent with five (5) credits ii. Mandatory credit in: o BahasaMelayu o Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern) Either one (1) of the credits below o GeneralScience o Biology o Chemistry and Pass in Biology o Physics and Pass in Biology iii. Credit in two (2) other subjects. iv. Pass in English. Health status: i. All candidates must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month from commencement of the nursing programme. ii. Candidates with any of the following medical conditions cannot be admitted into the programme such as • HIV / AIDS • Hepatitis B • Hepatitis C • Mental health disorders • Epilepsy • Colour blindness iii. Candidate must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity. iv. Pregnancy is not allowed throughout the course.
For International Students
- Pass International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum of 5.5 or equivalent.
