The programme takes interdisciplinary advances and encourages students to display the ethical, professional and social responsibility. The development of scientific methods and problem solving skills will be promoted and imparted in practical sessions and independent learning through the following professional modules like Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Electrotherapy Modalities, Exercise Therapy, Women Health, Paediatrics, General Surgery, First Aid and Emergency Procedures, Application of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Physiotherapy in Musculoskeletal conditions, Physiotherapy in cardio respiratory conditions, Physiotherapy in neurological conditions and clinical placements.
Program Aim
The program of Diploma in Physiotherapy will produce students with the knowledge and clinical skills able to manage patients competently with latest issues and current trends in the health care industry:
- Knowledgeable and skills in the field of physiotherapy for good quality service in the health care industry.

The diploma graduate students will fill the manpower needs in clinical setups like government hospitals, private hospitals, private clinics, rehabilitation centers, home care, fitness centre, spastic centers, nursing home, geriatric and community health care centers. Even they can take a venture to open Physiotherapy or Fitness centre as well. The graduates even pursue higher education with Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

Entry Requirements
- Candidates must pass in Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or equivalent examination with credits in 5 subjects:
• Bahasa Malaysia
• English
• Mathematics
• 1 Science subjects (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Sciences / Applied Sciences) and
• Any Other One Subject Or - GCE O Level or equivalent with 5 Grade C in the following subjects:
• English
• Mathematics
• 1 Science subjects (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Sciences / Applied Sciences) and
• Any Other 2 Subjects Or - Certificate (Level 3 MQF) related to Health Sciences with minimum CGPA 2.75
For non-Malaysian citizens, please refer to the Malaysian Qualification Agency’s (MQA) List of Overseas Qualifications & its equivalency with Malaysian Education System to see if you qualify for this course.
English Requirements :
International students must have proof of good proficiency in verbal and written English. For example, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 4.0 or its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
