About This Programme

What should I expect?
This programme prepares you to manage the business of sports. You will develop a thorough knowledge of the structure and functionality of the Malaysian sports industry including specific responsibilities and governance structure of organizations, rules and regulations governing sports, coaching standards, tournament hosting and scheduling, and sports sponsorship development.
What will I learn?
You will learn the practical, organizational, business, human resources and administrative skills which is needed to pursue a career in the industry. The course is designed with industry collaboration ensuring that it is current and relevant. The programme also includes field trips and industrial training.
You will undergo a 2-month industrial training where you will apply both theoretical and practical skills hands on. Our industrial training partners range from government to private organisations.
You will get the chance to be involved in all sorts of sports events such as Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA), Sukan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (SUKIPT), Majlis Sukan IPTS Malaysia (MASISWA) and other sports tournaments held to represent the University. Through these events, students will indirectly gain experience and make contacts with people in the industry who can be useful for them in the future.

Our graduates can earn positions with a variety of sports institutions such as amateur or professional sports teams & organizations, community sports & recreation agencies, sports governing bodies, sports event management organizations, and within the sporting goods industry.
How much will I make?
Diploma holders can expect to earn around RM 1,600 for a start but note that with dedication and experience, you will earn more in years to come. But, of course, your salary will also depend on the company that you work for.
