This programme aims to produce students with highly skilled professionalism that possess commitment, integrity, teamwork, innovativeness and excellence in the field of electrical engineering with emphasis on the advancement of power system and renewable energies with strong aptitude towards technopreneurship. The various types of electrical engineering careers are tied together by a demand for detail-oriented individuals who apply math and science to solve technical problems. The Master of Electrical Engineering programme will equip the graduates with the advancement made in electrical engineering industry namely Power system and high voltage engineering to become a more holistic electrical engineers. Furthermore, the graduates also have the opportunity to advance the researcher in these field as a scientist, academicians or pursue their study at a PhD level

General Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii)
International Student
- IELTS 5.0 OR TOEFL 500 OR its equivalent
- Students who enroll with qualification from institutions that fully use English as the language of instruction or from English speaking countries are EXCLUDED from the requirements of competence in English language as stated above
