PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The Master of Nursing program is intellectually stimulating and designed to offer students an opportunity to become prepared as nurse practitioners in their specialties and evidenced based research. This program forms the preparation grounds for a variety of leadership roles of the professional nurse who is committed to the delivery and study of high-quality clinical service, that is, being responsible, accountable, and having the empowerment to shape the health care system of the future. Thus enhancing professional expertise and allowing the nurse to command higher positions in advanced nursing.
As a student you will examine various important aspects of the healthcare system and discover how you are required to consider the nursing profession within the local and global context. You will learn about the nursing policies and politics, workforce and professional practice issues, healthcare financing and economics, concepts of illness and health as well as individual, family and community expectations for health care quality and safety. The program prepares students to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills for decision- making, effectively adapt, and be aware of the changing health needs of the population. You will also be engaged in discussions / debates / seminars / presentations about the issues within a vibrant learning environment.
The graduates of this program will be able to support and direct team members creatively and innovatively using interdisciplinary approaches in delivering comprehensive evidence-based health care practices.
The Master of Nursing also sets the platform for doctoral education in subjects related to students’ interests in nursing.
The degree of Master of Nursing is conferred upon students who have satisfactorily completed the study and have met other conditions prescribed.

Entry Requirement
Registered with Nursing Board Malaysia or its equivalent
Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Minimum three (3) years working experience
Temporary Practice Certificate (TPC)
Pass IELTS minimum 6.5 or TOEFL minimum 600 or equivalent
