The Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) is a programme to enhance student’s skills in the field of Public Health, and enable and up-skill them to contribute to academic institutions, local as well as international non-governmental organizations, health related private companies, Clinical Research Centers, government or private medical healthcare facilities, laboratory or field research projects.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PUBLIC HEALTH CRITERIA
Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (ii).
Other Relevant or Equivalent Qualification Specification
- Applicants with 5 years of working experience. (Preferably in program related field (social work, experiences working in NGO’s) and pass the APEL assessment would be considered and called for interview (if required).
- Students with credit transfer would be considered for interview (if required) if conditions are met.
- Students with credit transfer, must have a referral letter from the previous university as well as a letter outlining the reason/s for the transfer signed by the students and approved by their parents. The course details must also be submitted for curriculum mapping process.
- Students who do not have overlapping courses with the current postgraduate programme, would need to start the programme from the beginning.
