Course Structure
Course Description
Our MSc of Public Health (Global Health) programme covers basic public health core disciplines, focusing on three aspects namely:
- Health management
- Monitoring disease prevalence, data analysis, risk management and communication.
- Healthcare delivery improvement
- Evaluation, planning and service delivery
- Health protection
- Responses to infectious diseases and other hazards
Other than that, the programme also covers topics such as healthcare legislation, disaster relief management, community health and the effect of climate change on health and illness.
Specifically designed for healthcare practitioners and those in related fields, our programme is suited for medical doctors, researchers, nurses, health planners, other allied health professionals, safety and health officers, as well as anyone with a strong interest in developing a critical understanding of the key issues within health and medicine, health policy and health planning.
Note: This programme enables graduates to progress into PhD training, however it does not qualify one for registration with the Malaysian National Specialist Register (NSR).

Degree (Bachelor’s Degree Level) | Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent in relevant or related fields acceptable to the University. |
Degree (Bachelor’s Degree Level) | Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment. |
English Proficiency Requirement (Certificate) | For Malaysian Students: Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with minimum Band 4. |
