This Bachelor of Business and Commerce course consists of eight core units from the business and commerce specified study (Part A), eight units to complete a major from the business listed majors (Part B), and eight units from the free elective study (Part C). Out of your eight free electives, it is possible to study a second major, or two minors, or a minor plus four free electives, or eight free electives from the course. A minor is a set of 4 units concentrating on a single area of study.

Accountancy
Accountancy is the process of organising, analysing, and interpreting financial data to provide businesses and individuals with crucial insights into their financial performance. Applied economics
You will learn about microeconomics, which explores decisions made by individuals, businesses, and governments, and macroeconomics, which examines the economy’s behaviour as a whole. You will also study econometrics, which involves using statistical methods to analyse economic data and test theories. The analytical and critical thinking skills you’ll develop can be applied to various fields.
Banking and financial management
Banking and financial management provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry, including banking principles, investment management, and financial planning. You will learn to analyse financial markets and institutions, assess investment opportunities, and manage risk. You will also develop a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment, financial accounting, and financial statement analysis.
Business analytics
Business analytics teaches you to extract insights from data using statistical, computing, and visualisation skills. You will learn to apply statistical techniques, manage and manipulate data, and use programming languages to analyse data. You will be prepared for careers as data analysts, business intelligence analysts, data scientists, or consultants.
Business and commerce studies
Business and commerce studies offers a broad understanding of contemporary business challenges across various disciplines, including accountancy, banking and finance, economics, law, management, and marketing. You will gain skills in financial analysis, marketing strategy, and organisational management. You will be prepared for careers in finance, accounting, marketing, and management, among other fields. This area cannot be taken as a second major.
Digital Marketing
Digital marketing focuses on online branding strategies and mastering the tools of the trade, including social media like Tik Twitch and Instagram Reels analytics and search engine optimisation, to engage a global audience. You will be grounded in the fundamentals of marketing and master the tools of the trade to craft effective online branding strategies for business.
Econometrics and business statistics
Econometrics and business statistics will teach you to analyse and interpret data using statistical methods in the business world.You will learn to apply econometric models and statistical tools to real-world data sets to make informed decisions, measure the impact of policies, and forecast future trends. With the strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills that you’ll develop, you’ll be prepared for finance, market research, and data analytics careers.
FinTech
Learn all about financial technology, including Artificial intelligence (AI), Bitcoin, and cybersecurity, to navigate the digital economy expertly. You will be equipped with the knowledge of finance, Fintech applications, data mining and Python programming to capitalise on the burgeoning world of fintech.
International business management
Gain the knowledge and skills to succeed in a global business environment. You will learn about international trade, management, and cross-cultural communication’s legal and ethical frameworks. You will study international business strategy, marketing, supply chain management, and finance. Management

Strategic marketing
Strategic marketing provides you with the principles and practices of marketing, including market research, product development, pricing, and promotion. You will be prepared for careers in advertising, brand management, market research, and more, with the ability to drive revenue and growth for organisations. You will also be able to adapt to changing business environments and emerging marketing trends.
Business law and taxation (Minor only)
The law is the backbone of business. It regulates financial transactions, taxation and marketing processes, and in doing so applies the law of contract, tax and tort. It also regulates those engaged in companies and partnerships and their banking and tax needs, as well as new economic frontiers, such as e-commerce, via the development of cyber laws.
Sustainability and responsible management (Minor only)
This minor provides you an understanding of environmental, social and governance (ESG), sustainable development practices, and the role of business in promoting sustainability, preparing them for careers in sustainability management, environmental policy, and corporate social responsibility. You will learn about the issues threatening our planet and discover how businesses can build a sustainable future.
