Entry Requirements
General Requirements
The general academic requirements for admission into the undergraduate degree programmes are as follows:
- A pass in the IIUM Matriculation Centre’s final examination with a CGPA of not less than 2.5 and fulfillment of all other requirements for promotion to the first year of the undergraduate degree programme, OR
- Three principal passess of ‘C’ grades in the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia) examination, OR
- Three principal passes in the GCE ‘A’ level examination, OR
- Any other certificate that is recognized by the Senate as equivalent to one of the above.
(B.ED ISLAMIC EDUCATION (ISED))
The general academic requirement for admission in the the B.Ed Islamic Education is:
- Obtained a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in IIUM Centre for Foundation Studies final examination; OR
- Three (3) principal passes in the STPM examination or its equivalent; OR
- A pass with ‘Jayyid” in STAM examination or its equivalent; OR
- Three (3) principal passes in the GCE ‘A’ level examination obtained at one sitting; OR
- Any other certificate or diploma that is recognized by the IIUM Senate.
Other Requirements
Language requirements
Applicants are required to sit for the IIUM-administered English Placement Test (EPT) and Arabic Placement Test (APT) and obtained both language requirements as follows:

Interview
Malaysian applicants must pass the Teacher Selection Test (MEdSI) conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Applicants must also pass the interview conducted by the Institute.
