Entry Requirements
General Requirements
The general academic requirements for admission into the undergraduate degree programmes are as follows:
- A pass in the IIUM Matriculation Centre’s final examination with a CGPA of not less than 2.5 and fulfillment of all other requirements for promotion to the first year of the undergraduate degree programme, OR
- Three principal passess of ‘C’ grades in the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia) examination, OR
- Three principal passes in the GCE ‘A’ level examination, OR
- Any other certificate that is recognized by the Senate as equivalent to one of the above.
Specific Admission Requirement
(B.ED TASL)
- At least B Grade in the Arabic Language at the STPM level or equivalent; AND
- At least 2A in Arabic Language (Communication) or at least 3B in Advanced Arabic Language at the SPM Level or equivalent; AND
- A credit in English Language at the SPM level or equivalent; OR
- Obtained at least Band 2 in the “Malaysian University English Test” (MUET); AND
- A credit in Mathematics / Additional Mathematics at the SPM level or equivalent.

Language requirements
Applicants are required to sit for the IIUM-administered English Placement Test (EPT) and Arabic Placement Test (APT) and obtained both language requirements as follows:

Interview
Malaysian applicants must pass the Teacher Selection Test (MEdSI) conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Applicants must also pass the interview conducted by the Institute.
