Programme Overview

UNIRAZAK’s Diploma in Psychology allows students to explore the field of psychology before making that leap into undergraduate studies or the workplace. The diploma has been designed for programme graduates to become professionally trained in theories, knowledge, skills, and research methods in
psychology.

The programme offers students a solid foundation in core psychological principles to exposethem to a broad cross-section of topics within fundamental and applied studies. Students will develop research and communication skills and attain strong background in psychology as a science.

The programme also inculcates and fosters critical thinking to address evolving issues related to education, work, health care, and everyday life. Graduates are trained to be progressive, innovative, creative, and efficient in problem-solving or decision-making, particularly in patient or client management.

Graduates are also expected to understand and demonstrate sensitivities and responsibilities towards religion, community, culture, and environment by ethical principles and the professional code of conduct of the psychologist profession.

Entry Requirements

SPM

A Pass with at least credit in three (3) subjects or A Pass in 0-Level with at least Grade C in 3 subjects.

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)

A Pass Level 3 in related field and a pass in SPM with at least credit in one (1) subject.

Sijil Kolej Komuniti

A Pass (Level 3, MQF) in related field and a pass in with at least credit in one (1) subject.

STPM

A Pass with at least Grade C (NGMP of 2.00) in one (1) subject

APEL

1 credit and 5 years related learning experience.

Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

A Pass with at least Grade of Maqbul.

Others

A Pass in Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in related field with minimum CGPA 2.00 or any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.

International Students

compulsory to obtain a minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS or its equivalent. Admission through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning
