Overview
Along with advancements in medical technology, this course is offered to fulfil the needs for skilled and trained biomedical technologist to assist in the operation, development and management of biomedical laboratories. Biomedical Laboratory Technologist plays a major role as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. They are involved primarily in hospitals, clinics and physicians’ office laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, forensic, research and public health laboratories. There are expanding opportunities for biomedical lab technologists to assist in research and development, and as technical and sales representatives in the biomedical and healthcare industry.

Practise proper technique, identify technical errors, and perform basic troubleshooting competently in medical and research laboratory. - PLO 3
Collaborate and function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse healthcare /health provider team with good interpersonal skills - PLO 4
Contribute towards environment sustainability through proper practise according to biological, chemical, physical and biosafety requirement by adhering to legal and code of conduct in medical laboratory sciences - PLO 5
