This thesis-based program will allow students to gain advanced agricultural knowledge and acquire expert abilities in their chosen field, all while creating original, high-quality research that will have an impact on audiences ranging from worldwide researchers to local farmers.
For successful completion of PhD candidate should publish minimum Four research articles in Scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln University College affiliation.

Entry Requirements
ii. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) recognized by the Government of Malaysia; or
iii. Candidates without a related qualification in the field/s or with working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP; or
iv. Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) candidates who are registered for Master’s Degree programmes may apply to convert to the Doctoral Degree programs subjected to the following conditions;
a) Within one year for full-time and within two years for part-time
candidates;
b) Having shown competency and capability in conducting research at
the Doctoral level through rigorous internal evaluation by the HEP; and
c) Approval of the HEP Senate.
d) At least one research paper needs to be published in a refereed.
journal.
v. For International students, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 OR an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent is needed. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program. This is normally conducted through an assessment process.
